Bar none- there is no Asian restaurant in the Buffalo area compares. The place is the standard. The go to on their menu is the Burmese Curry with goat, the tea leaf salad and Tiger lager... I've traveled World Wide extensively and am still blown away by this family who is from the Burmese/ Thai region, working hard and raising some great kids. I love this place and their food and think you will too.

I cannot say enough good things about Roma Restaurant. The food is insanely delicious and always served hot and fresh and looking picture perfect. The portions are big and there is a huge variety of dishes to choose from on the menu. The family who runs the place make us feel like home and you can tell they make everything with love. I cannot eat at any other Thai place, only here. We always get the avocado salad to share and my favorite dish is the Thai Basil Fried Rice with Chicken-HOT!!!! My daughter loves the Jay Yo. And the Thai Iced Tea is always a hit. Parking is ample and easy. You will not regret trying this place!

As a vegan or vegetarian, finding places with a nice variety of delicious choices is a rarity (although better than it used to be). Roma offers a mouthwatering selection of vegetarian food and they know how to make the dishes vegan. Of course, they also give you meat choices. I ordered the Pad See Eu with tofu and the veggie Fresh Summer Roll - both were delicious and filling. I requested that my dish have hot spices and it was perfect. The servings are large and the fresh rolls were delicious with a nice surprise of avocado to add to the flavor. My three friends ordered Roma Ginger with tofu-mild heat, Peanut King with pork-mild, and Japanese Yaki Udon also with tofu-medium. Everyone raved about their selections which also included delicate dumplings and Summer rolls with shrimp. The peanut dipping sauce was especially good. But be warned, like in any Thai restaurant when given a choice of heat level, even medium is a bit hot for some. I had a taste of the Roma ginger which I had never had before, and it was especially delicious. When I return (and I will for sure) I will be ordering that. The service was spot on with a welcoming and helpful staff and the restaurant was bright and clean.

Visiting Buffalo and tired of wings, we decided to come here for something different. The place is in a nondescript stripe mall, and the sign has the old name covered up to say Roma, with some Korean Hangul as vestige of the shop's previous life. Hmmm... let's go in, we decided. As we've never tried Burmese food before, we stayed with items that are Burmese. Tea Leaf Salad is not your standard green salad. It has some dark tea leaves (which I learned are fermented tea leaves), a little bit of cabbage, green onion, and some fried nuts. It's crunchy, it's savory, it's spicy, it's tart... quite a flavor and taste explosion in my mouth that I totally loved. In fact I love it so much I am going to look up recipes to try making it at home... Fish noodle soup was another new experience. I've eaten plenty of rice noodle soup from different parts of Asia, and yet this one has a totally new flavor and mixture of ingredients that is again a powerful burst of flavors. We knew we were over-ordering but couldn't resist getting the mango curry. Curry with mango and pineapple in it... was as delicious as you could imagine. Our stomachs almost bursting, we both felt glad we ditched the Buffalo wings for this. : )

Very charming family-owned Thai & Burmese restaurant with dishes that give all the right flavors, and has an authentic homemade comfort. The cozy feel of this spot is relaxing & the decor gives cute mom & pop shop feels. The coconut shrimp came out first & has a perfect crunch, coconut fragrance that is often missed, and the sweet chili that accompanies it was unapologetically sweet & flavorful. The Tom yum soup is more home-styled than any of those I've tried on the west coast. It is filled with much more ingredients than I'm used to and everything worked well together, amazing! The fried banana had the thinnest fried wrap I've ever seen & the Thai iced tea was so legit, just check out how it swirls in the video! When it comes down to service, the owner was very kind and took accountability when he misheard the protein and gave us shrimp instead of beef for the Thai fried rice. It was still delicious & even though we were totally okay with it, he apologized profusely and ended up offering the fried banana on the house even though he didn't need to do that at all! I'm from out of town (in LA where Thai restaurants are everywhere) and I'm impressed with the authenticity & wish them continued success in their business

Roma Special Noodle Soup (Rakhine Monti), this dish was really good. It had a nice flavor, good spice and a kick to it. The rice noodles used were also really good. The service was good, seems like a family run business. Pineapple fried rice was good. But it could have a little more flavor to it. The portions in general were quite large.

Food was delicious, generous portions . It's a family run business so be patient but we ordered and food came out in a timely manner, appetizer came first and was served quickly. Spring rolls were very good. Then the entrees came shortly after and it was very good. Also. I would definitely recommend to come here to eat. Server was very pleasant.

What a great little place for lunch or dinner! We stopped in after a morning hiking and playing disc golf. We were there between lunch and dinner so we had the place mostly to ourselves, except for a few people who stopped in to pickup orders. I love that the menu was clearly labeled with what could be made vegan! We ordered the fresh veggie summer roll to start. It was a bit different than the typical Thai version and the sauce had a hint of curry powder to it which we enjoyed. For my meal I got the pad ka pow which was a bit spicy! I enjoyed the sauce and crispy rice and would definitely order it again. My BF ordered the peanut king with chicken which he also liked. We would definitely stop in again to try some other things on the menu. My only complaint, and the reason this is getting 4 stars (and not 5) is that the prices were a bit high. $10 for 2 veggie rolls is $4+ more than any other restaurant around is charging. And meal portions were several dollars more than most other places. I understand that prices have increased everywhere lately but almost $60 for two entrees and an appetizer is expensive.

In January of 2021, Sanlin and his family opened up this lovely Thai and Burmese restaurant! They could not have been the sweetest owners! If you're looking to support a small business, consider eating here! Not only is their service great, but their food is delicious as well! This is the first time I have ever had Burmese food, but the fish noodle soup was soooo good! I would come back just for that alone. The Thai tea was honestly one of the best I have ever had. Not super sweet and very strong. All of the other Thai food was great as well, not the best, but good for the location and price.

The reviews don't lie! This place is a real gem this side of the border! My friend and I came here for dinner and were blown away by the authentic savory dishes created here. The tea leaf salad was a bit spicier than my friend could handle so I had to finish that one by myself - it was a little on the salty side, but other than that there were no complaints on my part! I had the haddock with fried egg atop and it was absolutely wonderful. It was a generous portion for a very reasonable price. My friend had the fish noodle soup - of which she let me have a taste! This was such a delicious bowl of goodness - I would definitely order this myself on my next visit. Again portion size was generous and the price was right. The chef and I'm guessing owner was so cute and greeted all of the customers. This is clearly a family owned and operated little restaurant and they have done well for themselves! Every table was occupied on a weeknight - get here early and you won't be disappointed!
